$10 North Providence Bank, RI, Proof About Uncirculated

This bank was incorporated in 1834, located in Pawtucket, a town within North Providence. While the bank survived two wars and a number of financial panics, it failed in 1867. This $10 note, as opposed to the Battle of Lake Erie scene in the previous $5 note, has a more tranquil harbor scene with a number of sailing and steam-powered vessels, both large and small at center, flanked by small side vignettes of allegorical maidens representing nautical and agricultural interests.
