$5-$5-$10-$50 Proof Sheet

Hoboken City Bank

The bank started in 1857 and remained in business until it became the First National Bank of Hoboken in 1865. The $5 notes feature vignettes of a sailing sloop and mining scene. The $10 has vignettes of a train and a shipyard. The $50 shows a vignette of a farm wife with her children. All of the notes have red overall tints and red and white protectors. There were eight examples of this sheet in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale, with most probably cut in the following decades.
