Quinnipiac Bank, New Haven,

The bank was organized in 1852 and opened for business the following year. It remained in operation until becoming the Yale National Bank on New Haven in January, 1865. This $5 note contains a large vignette of a Native American family traveling by canoe.
Its vignette was used on all of this bank’s issues.
This note has not been seen in public auction in over a decade.
