Issued in 1875, this note was receivable for debts due the city. The ABNCo printed note features a busy harbor scene flanked by the portrait of a young girl at upper left and a vignette of a cotton boll and blooms at lower right. The face has a green protector panel and a green 1 protector as well as a red stamp of the city seal, and there is an ornamental green back.
